Due to the loss of funding from the PA Department of Education, the AKLC has been forced to close the adult education program. Currently there are no classes. Alternative funding is being pursued. We will post updates as we restructure.
The Future of AKLC: Restructuring of Education Programs
We are in the process of restructuring the educational programs that the AKLC has to offer.
Our planned future programs will include basic adult education such as reading, writing and math.
Classes are planed to be offered through streaming video and computer based media in a 'virtual' classroom setting that students will be able to access from home. Classes will consist of self-guided instruction using materials developed by volunteer instructors.
Schedules will be announced as programs develop.
